Who We Are

Like many robust regional businesses, East Gippsland Sheds is proudly 100% family owned and operated. We are not affiliated with any franchises and this gives us unparalleled flexibility.

Erwin is the face you will see in the office working the enquiries & details up to delivery of the project. He is the DBU/CBL registered builder & licenced plumber. Erwin has spent the last 20 + years working in the steel construction sector and has extensive knowledge in concrete & construction processes.

Andre is a trade qualified carpenter and is hands-on working on site at virtually every project where the East Gippsland Sheds board is fixed out front. You may see him in the office assisting Erwin with the project delivery.

James is a licenced and registered plumber with 15 years of on site, practical experience. James is on every job at some point and understands steel construction better than just about anyone.

Together, we have been in the construction industry for over 40 years and we pride ourselves on having first hand, hands-on knowledge of all aspects of our projects from the when we break ground with the first shovel, right through to the final piece of flashing to be fitted.

At every stage of the construction process, you, the client, are dealing with the people who own the business, the same people who physically are hands-on with your project. There are no franchise structures involved with us. These often bring an unnecessary layer of cost and management, often remotely controlled.

The core value which drives East Gippsland Sheds is embodied in a single word, excellence. Every minute of every day on site, we strive to achieve and deliver excellence. Word-of-mouth recommendations are responsible for the vast bulk of our new customers. Flashy letter box fliers and repetitive newspaper ads may be standard fare for some, but it’s not the way we like to or need to, conduct our business.

We are based in East Gippsland, servicing everywhere from Deddick Valley, Mallacoota to Sale and its regions.

Insurance

There are two levels of insurance which applies to East Gippsland Sheds operations.

First, we carry a standard $10,000,000 public risk insurance policy. Public liability insurance is designed for organisations who interact with customers or members of the public. It protects against claims of personal injury or property damage that a third party suffers (or claims to have suffered) as a result of business activities.

The second level of insurance is Home Warranty Insurance. This covers the homeowner (and subsequent owners) where the contracted building work is incomplete or defective and the builder has either died, disappeared, become insolvent during construction or has failed to respond to a rectification order within 30 days of it being issued. The cover lasts up to 6 years from completion of the domestic building work or termination of the domestic building contract (6 years for structural defects and 2 years for non-structural).
